FLAT SEAM

Flat seam is used on low sloping roofs. It has a much better life-span than hot tar and single ply membrane. On steeper roofs, standing seam is preferrable. Flat seam consists of small panels, interlocked and soldered together, which limits any thermal expansion & contraction.

Flat seam was used at the University of New Hampshire over the dormers in the slate roof. The flat seam dormer roofs provide a clean, well sealed covering that will easily shed snow build-up in the harsh New Hampshire winter. Flat seam is also used for pans and valley trays because of the tight sealed seams. Flat seam is durable, elegant and watertight way to seal flatter portions of your roof that will be constantly exposed to the elements.
